## Purpose

Connect five photonics/optoelectronics taxonomy nodes through a minimal causal chain: photon energy, bounded emitter logic, ideal one-electron responsivity, scalar all-pass ring transmission, and MZI phase transfer. The packet is designed for equation literacy and evidence planning, not device prediction.

## Exact constants

The generator uses the exact SI values h = 6.62607015e-34 J s, c = 299792458 m/s, and e = 1.602176634e-19 C from NIST 2022 CODATA.

## Teaching equations

1. Photon energy: E = h c / lambda.
2. Ideal responsivity: R = eta q lambda / (h c).
3. LED ceiling proxy: eta_external (h c / q lambda) / V_forward.
4. Laser threshold evidence contract: Gamma g_th = alpha_i + alpha_m. No numeric gain or loss solve.
5. All-pass ring: scalar amplitude-loss and self-coupling transfer with phi = 2 pi n_eff L / lambda.
6. MZI: delta_phi = 2 pi delta_n L / lambda and a quadrature-biased normalized transfer.

## Inputs and non-claims

Quantum efficiency, forward voltage, effective index, round-trip amplitude, coupling amplitude, ring radius, delta-n, MZI length, bias, and visibility are original illustrative inputs. They are not copied device parameters, calibrated fits, foundry values, process targets, or recommendations.

The packet does not calculate semiconductor absorption, spontaneous/stimulated recombination rates, laser threshold current, solar detailed balance efficiency, ring Q, bend loss, backscatter, polarization dependence, carrier-induced loss, modulator voltage, bandwidth, or energy per bit. It performs no mode or FDTD solve.

## Replacement evidence

A stronger packet needs rights-cleared material dispersion and absorption, declared geometry and polarization, mesh/resolution and boundary convergence, coupling calibration, carrier or electro-optic model provenance, optical power calibration, spectral response or transfer measurements, uncertainty, and accountable review.

## Rights

External courses, papers, and laboratory publications are link-only source anchors. No article text, course file, figure, table, chart, code, or proprietary material/process/device data is mirrored.
