PRACTICE

Read the result.
Answer with evidence.

HDL and course sites are strong because they give learners repeated attempts. SemiAgora practice should be built from reproduced datasets: questions, expected observations, and the limitation that keeps the answer honest.

PRACTICE LANES

From worksheet to interview drill.

The first live practice item is the SRAM write-boundary worksheet. The next items should reuse live lab data before any new assessment system is built.

EVIDENCE PRACTICE BANK

Fifteen prompts that force a condition.

This closes the practice-site gap without accounts or grading. Each item asks the learner to name evidence, interpretation, and the boundary that stops overclaiming.

Device / foundationA MOS transfer card reports Ion/Ioff = 422x at VDS = 1.0 V. What physical transition should your answer name before mentioning circuit use?

Expected answer: Name gate-controlled channel formation and surface carrier redistribution, then connect that current change to circuit switching.

Boundary: Do not treat the teaching transfer card as calibrated compact-model or measured-device data.

Open evidence route ->
Circuit / foundationA VTC page gives VM, VIL, VIH, NML, and NMH. Which two values define the input transition region, and why is that not a delay result?

Expected answer: VIL and VIH bound the high-gain input region. Delay needs transient loading and threshold-crossing evidence, not only a DC curve.

Boundary: Keep static transfer and transient timing as separate evidence types.

Open evidence route ->
Memory / foundationIf write assist lowers cell VDD during the pulse, what direction should the minimum successful wordline tend to move?

Expected answer: It should move lower in the controlled shmoo because the cross-coupled latch fights the write less strongly.

Boundary: The row explains a reproduced educational sweep, not a production write margin.

Open evidence route ->
Memory / intermediateWhy should DRAM retention, RowHammer risk, HBM roofline, and CIM accuracy not be compressed into one memory score?

Expected answer: They measure different mechanisms: charge loss, disturbance, bandwidth/thermal placement, and analog compute error.

Boundary: A comparison table is a map, not a universal ranking.

Open evidence route ->
EDA/Layout / practicalA physical-verification card says a DRC marker is severe, LVS confidence is low, and signoff is blocked. What is the next evidence request?

Expected answer: Ask for the specific geometry marker, extracted connectivity comparison, and corrected run evidence before any electrical conclusion.

Boundary: Do not convert triage into foundry signoff.

Open evidence route ->
Digital/Timing / practicalA timing card reports WNS and TNS. What does TNS add that WNS alone hides?

Expected answer: TNS exposes aggregate endpoint violation burden, while WNS only shows the single worst slack.

Boundary: Do not infer coverage if unconstrained paths were not checked.

Open evidence route ->
Process / intermediateAn etch UQ card separates center, mid-radius, and edge sigma. Why is that better than one nominal best row?

Expected answer: It prevents a nominal optimum from hiding location-dependent uncertainty and wafer-edge risk.

Boundary: No process recipe or equipment instruction is implied.

Open evidence route ->
Packaging/Test/Reliability / foundationA thermal stack card reports a junction-to-ambient proxy. Which missing details block product reuse?

Expected answer: Sample geometry, boundary condition, airflow, material stack, measurement method, and confidence data are missing.

Boundary: A teaching thermal stack is not product qualification.

Open evidence route ->
Equipment/Facilities / foundationWhy is availability different from utilization when reading a tool-state card?

Expected answer: Availability asks whether the tool can perform its intended function; utilization asks how much of available time is productively used.

Boundary: The card teaches terminology, not facility operation.

Open evidence route ->
Memory / intermediateWhy must MRAM write energy, read margin, retention, and disturb risk stay on one triangle instead of separate slogans?

Expected answer: A change that helps switching can hurt read margin, retention proxy, or disturb risk, so the tradeoff must remain visible.

Boundary: Proxy rows are not calibrated MTJ stacks.

Open evidence route ->
Research Studio / graduateA graphical abstract request arrives with a publisher figure as inspiration. What should SemiAgora produce instead?

Expected answer: An original mechanism diagram with new composition, cited source context, and a clear statement of what the image does and does not claim.

Boundary: Do not trace or republish copyrighted figures.

Open evidence route ->
Research Studio / graduateA paper needs support for a claim but the raw data are inconsistent. What support is allowed?

Expected answer: Allowed support is rerun, audit, limitation wording, figure logic, and clarity feedback; inconsistent results must remain visible.

Boundary: Do not manipulate data or hide failed evidence.

Open evidence route ->
Open Silicon / projectBefore a GitHub reproduction package is public, which file list should be checked first?

Expected answer: Check included public scripts, data, notes, and generated figures, then verify excluded PDK decks, credentials, licensed files, and private papers.

Boundary: A package can be reproducible without redistributing restricted inputs.

Open evidence route ->
Resources / foundationWhy is a lab homepage or official course page safer than collecting PDFs into a local library?

Expected answer: The source owner keeps rights and updates; SemiAgora records link, fit, and boundary instead of mirroring material.

Boundary: No shadow library or copied courseware.

Open evidence route ->
Simulation Atlas / operationsA user types 'retention' into the atlas. Which evidence families should appear before a new lesson is written?

Expected answer: DRAM retention, MRAM retention proxy, reliability stress, and any memory hierarchy cards that expose retention as a limit.

Boundary: Search is discovery; it does not create new evidence.

QUALITY BAR

Every answer needs a condition.

A useful practice answer names the model, operating condition, extracted metric, observed trend, and limitation. That format is the bridge from learner content to researcher service work.
